Cyperus Alternifolius(umbrella)

Description

Rhizomatous perennial sedge- or grass-like genus.For their unique inflorescences and foliage, they are grown. The often leafy, cylindrical, three-angled, or winged stems have linear leaves that resemble grass.
Hermaphroditic flowers have leaf-like bracts beneath their terminal, typically linear spikelets, which in most species gives the inflorescence a typical umbrella-like shape. Develop close to a pool’s edge or in a bog garden.
